COSY in Portugal

Members of the Church of Scotland Youth (COSY) visited Portugal while on their way to World Youth Day in Madrid.

The 12 young members included a pilgrimage to Fatima as part of their journey, where they met pilgrims from all over the world.

As part of the trip, which took place between August 11 and 15, the group spent time with members of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Portugal on August 13 and sang songs in Portuguese and English.

A morning worship was also led by the group at St Andrew’s Church in Lisbon on August 14 with Fiona Fidgin, the group leader who works with the Mission and Discipleship Council of the Church of Scotland, speaking about how tourists can transform into pilgrims through the recovery of the catholic heritage of journeying together.
