The recommendation not to consume cornbread in Leiria, Santarém, Coimbra and Aveiro remains in place, Portugal’s DGS national health authority has told Lusa today. The raw materials involved in recent cases of food poisoning have been detected and withdrawn from the market, but it is still not completely safe to start tucking in again. As soon as it is, Lusa’s DGS says it will make an announcement.
