Copacabana inspires  artist exhibiting at Algarve art galler

An exhibition at the Corte-Real art gallery, which opens over the weekend of August 22 and 23, features work by international photographer Barnaby Hall.

The exhibition includes photography of exotic locations such as Rio de Janeiro, reportage and studio photographs, with many of the images in black and white.

The photographs were taken when Barnaby worked and lived in Rio de Janeiro with his partner and two children overlooking the Copacabana beach.

Barnaby Hall has worked for numerous publications, including Vogue, Esquire, Harpers and Bazaar and Penthouse and he also lectures at the New York International Centre of Photography and Visual Arts.

Barnaby now divides his time between New York and Portugal, where he lives near Odemira in the Alentejo.

Barnaby will be at the Corte-Real art gallery in Paderne during the opening weekend of the exhibition, where food and Monsaraz wines will be served. The exhibition lasts until the end of August, after which Barnaby will become a permanent exhibitor.
