Cooking classes for all ages at Martins Kulinarium

Just off the top of Estrada do Farol in Carvoeiro (Lagoa), you will find Martins Kulinarium, established one year ago.

Hosts Martin and Annett Busse are on hand to give you a warm welcome and serve you only high quality produce, presented creatively.

Using locally sourced seasonal produce, specialities include oven roasted black pork in a vinho verde sauce with braised chestnuts,  crunchy caramelised lamb shoulder and house smoked Atlantic fish to name but a few.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated with artwork from local artists and has two spacious terraces to enjoy those lovely summer evenings.

Martin, who is also the author of cookbooks, prides himself on his cooking classes and knowledge that he loves to share with his students.

All the recipes he uses in the restaurant also feature in his three cookery books allowing you to try them out at home.

Children’s cooking classes are currently taking place until September 8, every Friday from 11am until 1pm. And for adults, ‘The Creative Cooking School’ runs from September 18 until May 14 2013 on Tuesdays from 11am until 4pm.

Upcoming programmes at the restaurant include live cabaret, fado and acoustic guitar, entertainment that promises to enhance your dining experience.

The autumn programme includes seminars given by experts and subjects include foraging, mushrooms and herbs. Alternatively, why not join Martin and Annett for a mushroom walk in Monchique followed by a cookery course?
