Judge Ivo Rosa – the judge who caused an uproar by decimating the Public Ministry’s Marquês investigation (click here) in the so-called instruction phase, has been handed the BES dossier to decide whether or not that should move forwards to trial as well. The BES case involves 25 ‘arguidos’: 18 of them actual people plus seven businesses. At issue is a value “superior to 11.8 billion euros” says DCIAP (criminal investigators).
