Over 100 artists will showcase their works at the first edition of Vision Art Fair, a new contemporary art fair which will take place at Silves’ Fissul building from March 21 to 24.
The event will feature “internationally renowned” and “emerging” artists, including painters, photographers, illustrators, and sculptors, as well as several galleries representing over 30 countries, organisers say.
Vision Art Fair is organised by the same team behind the Art Expo Algarve, which has been held twice at the Portimão Arena in Portimão.
“Vision Art Fair was founded by a group of gallery owners and curators to respond to the necessity of showcasing artworks in the south of Spain and Portugal. After having identified the need and demand for a large-scale contemporary art fair in the area, the event was born,” the team says.
“Our event is for both established and emerging artists, galleries, and artist collectives, to exhibit and sell high-quality artworks directly to the public,” the organisers say, adding that “with the extensive knowledge and experience of participating in art fairs around the world for several years, the team has combined their passion for the arts, to produce an event for artists, art lovers, and collectors alike.”
The fair will be free to visit and open from 11am to 8pm.
