Vale do Lobo is featuring a collection of sculptures from Portuguese artist Pedro Figueiredo until March 21.
Born in 1974 in Guarda, Pedro Figueiredo completed a course at the School of Ceramic Arts in Coimbra with a degree in sculpture before later finishing a post graduate course in aesthetic arts and gaining a Masters in plastic arts at the University of Arts in Coimbra.
Since 2000, Pedro Figueiredo has been holding solo exhibitions across Portugal, with special shows also held in Spain and Cuba. In 2003 his works were acknowledged with a prize awarded to him from the XII Bienal de Arte Internacional de Vila Nova de Cerveira.
This latest exhibition at the Vale do Lobo Art Gallery features a selection of thought-provoking sculptures which demonstrate the unique and creative style of the artist.
The Pedro Figueiredo exhibition, organised in collaboration with the Galeria São Mamede, is open to the public Monday to Friday, from 9am to 6pm. Entrance is free.
