Constraints in Hospital de São Francisco Xavier as floodwaters stream into basement floors

The flooding in low-lying areas of Greater Lisbon today have also caused constraints in Hospital São Francisco Xavier. The basement floors (levels 0 and -1) have been flooded, while the lifts have stopped working. Explain reports, it has been “impossible” to transfer bedridden patients who need exams to other floors of the hospital. The hospital was still in the process of repairing damages caused by last week’s downpours, which also flooded various floors and brought down ceilings.
