Conrad Algarve reopens with new general manager

Conrad Algarve in Quinta do Lago reopened on February 7 after a seasonal break with a new general manager and some “new features that promise to make it the perfect destination in the south of Portugal”.

New GM Marco Cogollos is a Spanish national who has worked in different Hilton properties, moving to Conrad Algarve from DoubleTree by Hilton Minsk in Belarus where he was general manager between 2019 and 2021. His resumé also features “international experience” with an array of international luxury brands.

“I always dreamed of having the opportunity to lead this resort, so I couldn’t be happier and prouder to be able to take the helm of such an iconic property and with such an incredible team as this one is. The path of this property has been incredibly successful, and it is not surprising that it is one of the reference hotels within the luxury portfolio of the brand,” Cogollos says.

The resort also adds that Conrad Algarve Spa has reopened with a collection of “signature treatments in partnership with the prestigious brand AMRA Skincare.

“All treatments were designed exclusively for the Conrad Algarve Spa, taking into account the different characteristics of the destination, such as the mild temperatures and light so characteristic of this part of Portugal,” the resort says.

Conrad Algarve adds that “the iconic and most awarded hotel suite in Portugal presents itself with a new identity, inspired by its infinity pool – the Infinity Penthouse, with 300sqm, continues to be the benchmark of a personalised luxury experience, which has the service of our Personal Host to meet the highest level of service standards and sophistication.”
