FARO POLÍCIA Judiciária (PJ) have detained a 27-year-old man who is suspected of conning members of the general public by posing as an astrologist. His fraudulent scheme proved very lucrative, earning him in excess of 150,000 euros, according to information supplied by a police source last week.
The fraudster led his clients to believe that, through blessing their money, he could make any bad things in their lives disappear. The man, who has been charged with crimes including fraud and using a fake passport, is believed to have been operating the scam since 2003. The police are continuing to investigate the case in order to ascertain the full extent of his fraudulent activities.The suspect will shortly appear at his first court hearing.
