The family of PSP agent Fábio Guerra – a young man who paid with his life trying to mediate calm in a punch-up outside a Lisbon discotheque in March – is to receive an indemnity of €176, 250. The announcement appeared today in State gazette Diário da República. Two suspects believed to have been involved in his death remain in military jail awaiting trial; a third – a civilian – appears to be ‘on the run’, in spite of early indications that he would be handing himself into authorities last Easter.
