Communist leader says “public has to react, faced with current explosive situation”

Paulo Raimundo, leader of Portugal’s communist party, was out in Azeitão (Setúbal district) over the weekend, telling reporters that “people have to react” faced with the current “explosive situation” in which “everything is being squeezed”. He called for mobilisation in defence of the national health service “so that this conquest of the April 25 revolution is not lost”. His message was that it is vital to “stop the possibility of opening even more doors to the private sector in health”.
