Comings and goings

Second division || Portimonense are expected to unveil their new manager by the end of this week. Meanwhile, the only regular first team players to have valid contracts, captain Ricardo Pessoa, Rui Correia, Ivo Nicolau and Dyego Sousa, could be joined by Mica and Fabrício who have been asked to sign on for another season. The club are also attempting to raise the funds necessary to persuade influential on-loan playmaker Mou Kanazaki to stay in the Algarve.
Elsewhere, promotion play-off qualifiers Aves, who just pipped Portimonense for that position, have failed to reach the top tier after losing 3-1 on aggregate to Paços de Ferreira.
Lastly, reports suggest that Louletano are close to reaching agreement with a group of Saudi Arabian investors, a move which could see them competing with fellow Algarveans Farense, Olhanense and Portimonense at the second highest national level in the near future. Details are to be made public on June 9.
