Larga Vista Residents’ Association in Foral, near Algoz, is holding a coffee morning on Friday, September 27, to coincide with Macmillan’s ‘The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’, but organisers opted to support Madrugada, which does similar work here in Portugal supporting people with life-limiting illnesses.
The event will take place at the Algoz Junta de Freguesia’s function room from 10am to 12 noon. Available for sale will be tea, coffee and cake, with visitors encouraged to bake a cake to support the worthy cause.
Sérgio Antão, President of the Junta de Freguesia de Algoz, has agreed to pick the ‘Best Home Baked Cake’ at 10.30am.
The association will be paying for all set-up costs, so that all proceeds will be donated to Madrugada.
