Cockles cooked with pasta, rice or corn porridge are some of the delicacies that will be available at the eighth annual Cockle Festival tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday at Figueira’s Sports Complex (Polidesportivo).
The festival acknowledges the tradition of cockle picking at Ria de Alvor.
The event, which includes music entertainment by popular Portuguese singers, will start at 7pm and run until 1am on both days. Admission costs three Euros per person.
