A Portuguese man ostensibly employed in the entertainments industry has been arrested after turning up at Porto airport to collect a consignment of screws which arrived from Colombia. Suspicious that the package was not what it seemed, Customs inspectors took a closer look and discovered “tens of screws, filled with pure cocaine”, with a market value of “more than €30,000”. The man has been remanded in custody awaiting trial, reports Correio da Manhã.
In all, PJ detectives recovered around 750 grams of the drug, which could have translated into 3750 doses.
