Sylvia Boon, a qualified England coach, visited Valverde lawn bowls club on January 23.
She was welcomed to the club by chairman David Russell. Sylvia gave a talk on coaching techniques to a large group of members. She also talked about the rules and etiquette of the game of bowls and was happy to answer questions on how to improve your game. The club wishes to thank Sylvia for her time and effort.
It is hoped that this session will help members to instruct newcomers to the game of bowls.
Anyone who wishes to have a go should go to one of their rollups held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10.30am.
