In 1943 an airman, who has been involved in a crash and is about to die, gives a ring to a local and asks him to return it to his girlfriend in America. More than 50 years later a man finds the ring from the Second World War and begins a journey to track down the girlfriend referred to by the airman and find the history of the ring.
