The sailing ship Clipper Stad Amsterdam is be moored in Faro until today (Friday) at the Cais Commercial.
The ship, which is based on the design of the tea clippers from around 1850, was built over three years in Holland, providing experience for young people who are still being trained on board in seamanship and hospitality.
Clipper Stad Amsterdam is the only sailing clipper in the world and Faro is the first stop for the ship since it toured the east coasts of the USA. It will then continue on to Nice in France for the summer months.
