A Canadian woman on holiday in the Algarve fell from a height of around 20 metres at a cliff at Rocha da Pena in the Loulé council.
According to emergency teams, who rescued the woman and took her to Faro hospital, she was climbing a ravine using safety gear.
A spokesman from Faro Hospital told the Algarve Resident that because the woman had several bruises on her head and face, and may need surgery, she was transferred to São José hospital in Lisbon. We do not have a maxillofacial surgical department here.”
São José Hospital said they would not disclose any information about their patients.
