Clémence de Forceville performs with Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra in Lagoa

French violinist Clémence de Forceville is performing with the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra on February 24. The concert is scheduled to start at 21:00 in the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium in Lagoa, conducted by maestro Osvaldo Ferreira and artistic director Osvaldo Ferreira.

Beethoven’s Violin Concerto will be performed in the first part of the concert. One of the most famous concertos for violin and orchestra in the entire classical repertoire, it is the only one composed by the German composer.

French violinist Clémence de Forceville will be the soloist performer. Winner of several international competitions, she will play a rare and precious instrument: a Lorenzo Storioni violin dating from 1777.

Mozart’s “Jupiter” Symphony, the last and the boldest of all those composed by the Austrian composer, will also be performed.

Tickets cost €10 (20% discount with cultural passport, Lagoa Social card, or Rota do Petisco 2022 Passport, available at the municipality’s ticket offices).
