ALGARVE BASED environmental defence organisation, Almargem, is planning a series of clean-up days in the area of Fonte da Benémola.
This initiative is designed to help improve the ecological conditions of the stream and raise awareness among members of the general public of the value of the area. Fonte da Benémola is part of the vast natural patrimony of the Loulé borough and the câmara is becoming increasingly concerned about its preservation.
The clean-up days will take place on Setember 9, 16 and 23, and those interested in taking part should meet at 8.30am at the beginning of the pedestrian footpath of Fonte da Benémola. A lunch will follow each clean-up operation.
