Warm and inviting, this bright restaurant serves international and French cuisine with an imaginative menu that includes some enticing and unusual creations. There is a delightful selection of starters, and the main courses are equally mouth-watering, complemented by an excellent wine list containing Portuguese and international labels. If you have a sweet tooth, you won’t be disappointed. Most of the desserts are homemade by wife Karin, and her apfelstrudel is a speciality not to be missed. The pleasantly decorated restaurant has an intimate and charming atmosphere that works well in all seasons. Part of the interior dining area extends into the adjoining conservatory area fronted by French windows that enjoy views to the flower-decked outside terrace. Belgian Chef and owner Jan Mortier has invested more than half of his life of varied culinary experience in maintaining the standards at L’Orange restaurant. Located near the Carvoeiro Hotel on the outskirts of the village, L’Orange serves delightful international dishes and is open daily for dinner except for Sundays.
