Civil protection warns of flooding, landslide risks in northern region

ANEPC, Portugal’s civil protection authority has warned of possible flooding and landslides due to the weather forecasts of rain, strong wind and heavy seas for the next few days. According to a note sent out today, worsening weather conditions from Saturday may also lead to floods (due to overflowing rivers and streams). Temperatures however, particularly for southern areas, are staying relatively mild (18ºC), with regions like Guarda dipping to 9ºC.
