Civil Protection prohibits use of fire/ agricultural machinery that could cause ignitions

Civil Protection has today ‘prohibited the use of fire (agricultural burnings/ bonfires/ BBQs in a rural setting) as well as other country activities like fumigating apiaries, using strimmers, , shredders, mowers etc. (these can emit sparks, which could start a fire easily given the dry state of land). The prohibitions will stay in place throughout this latest spate of high temperatures, expected to continue until Thursday
