THE CENTRE OF Portimão could receive a facelift from Largo 1 de Maio to the cinemas over an area of 71,000sqm if the câmara approves the project.
As part of the development plan, three residential buildings will be constructed by Porticentro, a private company which owns nearly half of the land. A commercial and services building is also due to be constructed as well as several green areas. The Plano de Pormenor da Horta do Palácio development plan will be put to a vote in the local parliament next month.
