Circus comes to the interior

news: Circus comes to the interior

A NEW circus production entitled Charanga, presented by Faro National Capital of Culture, is making a tour of Algarve villages.

The shows, which are being staged by the Circolando Company, take place at 10pm and can be seen at the following venues: Paderne’s Primary School on August 27 and Salir’s Church Square on August 28. Entrance is free.

Charanga comprises a group of miners cycling, playing and singing in a brass band. They take the miners’ chants to the world, which are songs about the men digging in the mines, about exhausting work, the dark, pain, loneliness and fear, but also about the delights of the light, the brightness and the wind.
