A JAZZ lunch hosted by Susan Hamer raised funds for the St. Vincent’s Church of England Church’s charity work in the Algarve.
The music was provided by the New Orleans Jazz Band and Kate Bruntnell accompanied by Bob Pitcher.
Gerald Hamer, the Chairman of St. Vincent’s Fiscal Council, said “St. Vincent’s Church is about making friends, having fun and putting something back into the community.”
Among the many charities St. Vincent’s support is the training of six nurses every year in the Algarve.
This support makes a career in healthcare possible for young people, who would be unable to afford the training.
