Well-meaning firefighters from Setúbal thought they were stripping off for a good cause when they posed for photos for a cheeky calendar, but their sculpted torsos were just a little too sexy for the church authority they were hoping to raise funds for.
Cáritas – not used to such raunchy volunteers – has refused point-blank to accept any of the money that comes from an ever-increasing number of sales.
Undaunted, the men say they will give their proceeds to another charity. So far, their calendar has received upwards of 500 orders, and thanks to Cáritas will probably now receive a lot more.
