Castro Marim is holding an exhibition of Christmas trees decorated by local schoolchildren until January 8 at Praça 1º de Maio.
Local kindergarten and primary school students were challenged by the local council and parish council to paint and decorate a series of Christmas trees made out of recyclable materials.
The local council says the exhibition can also be visited at night, when it is illuminated by the lights from the nearby giant Christmas tree and the façade of the local Igreja Matriz church.
