After celebrating their “best Christmas fairs ever” last year, Lagoa and Carvoeiro are preparing to outdo themselves yet again in 2015.
First up is Lagoa, which will host its fair this weekend (December 11-13) at FATACIL.
There will be over 50 stalls selling a variety of Christmas and traditional wares, as well as the performance of a live nativity scene, using actors and real animals.
The show will cover historical reenactments of the birth of Jesus Christ and the search for a stable, as well as the visit of the Wise Men.
The fair will also feature an animal exhibition, street entertainment, children’s games and a Santa parade.
“This promises to be a Christmas fair unlike any that has been seen before in the municipality, which adults, but especially children, will not forget,” said Lagoa council in a statement.
The experience, open between 10am and 8pm, is free to all-comers.
Meantime, Carvoeiro is planning its festive jamboree next weekend (December 18-20) at the main beachside square.
Both events are being organised by the parish union of Lagoa and Carvoeiro as well as Lagoa council.
