Winner of the ITV reality show X Factor, Alexandra Burke, is on course to top the Christmas charts in the UK.
If Alexandra hits the top spot this year she will join the illustrious ranks of other Christmas stars such as Slade and Wizzard and will be hoping to avoid becoming a Christmas flop like Leon Jackson or Shane Ward.
Fans of other contestants on the show however have fuelled controversy by suggesting that the show was biased towards Alexandra Burke winning. They claim that it was unfair for her to perform with superstar Beyonce while the other contestants were left singing with ageing Irish boybands, Westlife and Boyzone.
Alexandra Burke has shrugged off the criticism and said: “Who you duet with doesn’t determine whether you win, it is how you perform. Simple as that.”
