Vila Vita’s Biergarten in Porches will this year bring “the magical Christmas Wonderland” to the Algarve with its first Christmas Market, which will take place over the first three weekends in December. Reflecting the spirit and style of Northern Europe’s traditional Christmas markets, this Algarve version offers “festive fun and flavours, with added sunshine”.
Seasonal food, drink, crafts, gifts, music and much more will be on display at the Biergarten. The Christmas atmosphere will be enhanced by wooden alpine huts featuring festive merchandise and culinary delights such as grilled sausages, Lebkuchen, Glühwein and other tasty treats.
Workshops including decorating centre pieces, learning the art of gift-packaging, as well as wine and beer tastings (featuring the recently launched Porches Craft Beer), add to the family fun and spread the joy of Christmas during this festival of light, colour and tastes. Youngsters can join in activities such as face-painting, games and meeting Santa Claus.
The Biergarten is located on the Porches roundabout on the N-125, and will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 8pm, on December 3-4, 10-11 and 17-18. Entrance is free.
