Christmas lights

Christmas lights will be switched on at the Aboim Ascensão Children’s Refuge in Faro by the President of the Portuguese Parliament, Assunção Esteves, on December 1.

This Christmas tradition has been made possible with financial support from Faro Câmara and assistance from the Fire Department of Loulé, who mounted the 3,000 lights.

Director of the refuge, Dr Luis Villas-Boas, said: “We are grateful for the show of affection to our children this Christmas.”
