Faro’s Christmas lights were officially switched on for the festive season on Saturday by the Câmara President, Macário Correia at Praça da Pontinha.
Meanwhile, Portimão council’s Christmas lights were officially lit on Friday, November 20, in 40 streets throughout Portimão city, Alvor and Mexilhoeira Grande.
A 30-metre high Christmas tree has also been placed as a focal point in Portimão’s Praça da República, where there will be public entertainment throughout December.
