Saturday 23 – Christmas Irish Walk. From 10am. Walking west of S. Bartolomeu de Messines on the Cumeada ridge and in the Vale Fuzeiros. An easy to moderate walk on paved roads, tracks and game paths. Lunch afterwards will be at Restaurante Casa da Vinha in Vale Fuzerios. Directions: From Silves, take 124N to Messines and after 8km turn left at sign for Barragem do Aráde, after 1km turn sharp right at signs for Canhestros/Gegórios. Drive through Gregórios and turn left at end of village and go down to where the walk will start. From Messines take 124N to Silves for approx 4km, take right turn at signs for Torre/Corte. Turn right at end of Corte Village, Gregórios is straight on, approx 4kms distance, and just prior to Gregórios turn right and go down to where the walk will start.
