The Brass and Percussion Group of the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, led by award-winning maestro José Eduardo Gomes, will perform a Christmas concert at the Cineteatro Louletano on Tuesday, December 15 at 7.30pm.

Together they will be interpreting pieces by iconic composers from Johann Sebastian Bach to Edward Elgar and Stephen Foster as well as rearranged brass and percussion versions of Christmas classics.

Maestro José Eduardo Gomes won the European Union Conducting Competition this year, adding another accolade to his impressive career. Over the years he has been invited to perform with some of Portugal’s best orchestras at the country’s top music festivals.

Meanwhile, the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra was formed in 1993 and is one of the performing arts groups of Lisbon’s São Carlos Opera House Theatre.

Seating will be limited due to social distancing measures and wearing a mask will be mandatory.

Tickets cost €5.
