Catholic Mass in English will be held this Sunday, December 18 at the chapel on the cliffs (Ermida de Nossa Senhora da Encarnação) in Carvoeiro, at 4pm.
A Christmas collection in aid of needy families will also be held.
This Mass of the Fourth Sunday of Advent will be in English: the readings, the hymns as well as the Order of Mass. There will be carol singing.
Everyone is welcome even if they do not normally attend this church.
There will be a Christmas collection for the Food Bank at the end of the Mass. Donations will be used to support 120 local families in need.
The usual time for weekend Mass in Portuguese is Saturday at 5.30pm. This English Mass does not replace that.
