QUERENÇA FREGUESIA, in the Loulé council, will be holding its traditional chouriço smoked sausage festival at the Largo da Igreja, in front of the local church on Sunday, January 13 from 10am.
Included in the festival’s programme are a religious procession, musical entertainment and chouriço tastings.
Traditionally, chouriço sausages were offered by local people to the saint of Querença to guarantee the protection of their animals for the coming year.
