Choir celebrates 10 years with concert

It’s 10 years now since Walter Sulzer started the Friends of the Museum choir in São Brás. To celebrate the anniversary, the Coro dos Amigos will be performing at the museum on June 24 at 6.30pm, singing songs from the whole history of the group.
Over the years, the choir has trained in Baroque and early music: medieval Portuguese and Spanish, German religious music, and definitely non-religious English madrigals full of double entendres.

The choristers themselves are similarly diverse: various nationalities and a wide spread of musical capabilities – although new members quickly adapt and are assimilated, whether they can read music or not (a hint to potential new members as the choir is always on the lookout for new singers).

Entry to the anniversary concert is free, but if you would also like to join in the party celebrations afterwards in the museum courtyard, there is a charge of €8.50 for dinner. Advance bookings are recommended.
