Chiropractic is constantly in evolution

Once again we are reaching the end of another year. It is a perfect time to reflect and to review on all the good things that have happened during those 12 months.

Counting our blessings and highlighting the wonderful results we have achieved with so many people is worth all the good work and hours spent studying and bettering our services.

One of the first things that come to mind is to thank for having Vanessa working with us for the last year-and-a-half. She makes the difference to a true team and to help her keep on growing in the chiropractic profession we took her to a seminar in Rome in November.

Chiropractic is a health profession that is constantly in evolution. The way a chiropractic adjustment influences the nervous system function is the most important aspect of research and studies in our profession.

The LIFE chiropractic seminar offers access to new research whether it is about paediatrics, neurology, radiology, or specific techniques amongst others. And their concept of having sessions with chiropractic assistants is fantastic.

Chiropractic assistants also need to know about health to be able to best help our patients.

An assistant is the first link between patients and doctors and her approach reflects her level of commitment to truly help others. Continuing education is a must to keep improving professionally and personally.

It was a delight to bring Vanessa to Rome and assist classes with her. We had some classes together and there were other tutorials only for assistants. There were people from all over the world that have the same objectives as we do: help people get their health back and maintain it.

Vanessa was very impressed with the organisation and even though she was a little anxious at first, she soon felt at ease.

Here is her testimony of her experience:

Being a new member of the chiropractic team, I was not sure what to expect. I know my doctors quite well by now and they are easygoing and love giving the best of themselves, and it was an amazing experience being among so many people like them! Chiropractors from all over the globe and their assistants “walking the talk”.

The atmosphere was electric and, during the coffee breaks, all the knowledge and different techniques spread, with doctors and their assistants sharing their experiences with their colleagues and students of Chiropractic.

I had never been with other Doctors of Chiropractic before, and certainly not with other assistants, and I had the idea that in Portugal, because Chiropractic is still very young, everything was different. I was wrong. Doctors and their assistants all over the world have the same attitude and expectations regarding service to their patients.

All we want is to let you know the importance of being healthy, and having your body working to its full potential. That can only be accomplished if everything is working properly and there are no interferences in your body.

I am sure in all professions, especially if you enjoy what you do, these gatherings can be very exciting. I couldn’t wait to share what I heard, and to come back and apply everything I learned in our practice, with our patients.

This experience made me evolve, both professional and personally, because, as I have been learning, Chiropractic is a way of life. I learned that we should remove the interferences not only from our body, but also from our soul, so that all our energy can flow – and that being open and giving to others will only make us feel better and more in tune with our life.
