Chinese travel giant focused on sending “top quality” clients to Europe “as soon as pandemic stabilises”

Chinese travel giant Trip.com is focused on sending “top quality” clients to Europe (and Portugal) as soon as the pandemic stablises. Executive director Jane Jie Sun has told Lusa: “We are very advanced in the preparation of the recovery to send clients to Europe and to Portugal”. Hopes are that by early 2022 up to 90% of the Chinese population will be fully vaccinated,  and then those with heavy purchasing power will be free to travel and invest. To this end, Trip.com “has a team of researchers exploring destinations and resorts”. “Europe has many beautiful boutique hotels and resorts and we want to guarantee that all of them are available to our clients in China”, said Ms Sun.
