Child’s play

ONLY SIX per cent of Portuguese parents play with their children, according to the annual Duracell Toy Survey.

Out of the nine European countries involved in the study, Portugal scored the lowest time spent with children. In order for children to develop harmoniously, it is vital that parents take time each day to participate and interact with them, according to the study. It highlighted that there was a fundamental need for children’s development and education to do activities with parents. Researchers believe that even if the time spent is not much each day, it is significant.
