CHILDREN FROM various schools in the borough of Castro Marim are taking part in the planting of autochthonous tree species, such as almond, carob and oak trees, in the grounds of Escola EB23.
The project, supported by Castro Marim Câmara and insurance firm Liberty Seguros, began on World Forest Day (March 21) and is set to continue until April 18. The objective is to raise awareness among young people about the importance of preserving the environment, with particular emphasis on reforestation.
