More schools across the country are introducing subjects such as domestic violence and bullying in the classroom, as part of a national plan against violence.
Some teachers have already received training by the Portuguese Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) in a bid to pass on values that promote peace, dialogue and healthy relationships to schoolchildren.
The national campaign has the participation of associations such as APAV (victim support association) and aims to help children reflect on serious issues that they may themselves be victims of.
