Around 200,000 euros has been invested in renovating a building along Avenida Miguel Bombarda in Portimão for the council’s commission for the protection of children and youngsters.
The commission, which helps youngsters who may be at risk, was given the building on February 26 at a ceremony attended by Portimão Mayor and Portugal’s deputy secretary of state for rehabilitation.
The new building is open weekdays from 9am until 12.30pm and from 2pm until 6pm.
