Albufeira Câmara inaugurated the council’s new child protection office this month.
On the day of the opening of the Comissão de Protecção de Crianças e Jovens (CPCJ), Albufeira Câmara President Desidério Silva said: “In a council with around 77 different nationalities, it is imperative to follow a policy of integration and prevention.”
Albufeira Câmara deals with around 270 child risk cases each year.
