Child dies after falling nine storeys in Vila Franca de Xira

A six-year-old boy died yesterday evening after he fell nine floors into a carpark from an open window in his family’s apartment in Vila Franca de Xira. Reports explain the apartment was on the 7th floor, but there were two further storeys making up shops and commercial premises. The circumstances of the tragedy are being investigated. The child’s mother and siblings were described as in the apartment when he fell.
