Chef Louis Anjos at the helm of new Palmares Clubhouse restaurant

Chef Louis Anjos has been announced as the head chef of the recently inaugurated Clubhouse at the Palmares Ocean Living & Golf Resort in Lagos.

The chef, known most recently for his work at the Michelin-starred Bon Bon restaurant in Carvoeiro, described the opportunity as a challenge he could not refuse.

“A place as special as this one is just calling for benchmark cuisine. I believe my experience with projects in the south of the country will contribute to the success of the resort,” said Anjos, who has been working on the Clubhouse’s new Mediterranean-inspired menu since October.

Meanwhile, Alda Filipe from Kronos Homes said that the choice reflects the resort’s desire for the Clubhouse to become a must-visit location in Lagos and the Western Algarve.

The goal is to provide a “unique gastronomic experience” against a backdrop that “respects and maximises the proximity to the sea, the natural surroundings and the culture of the region,” the marketing director said.

“We already had one of the best locations in the Algarve and built a Clubhouse of excellence in Portugal. Now, we have the best chef for this project.”
