Five-day event brings selection of cheeses, wines and ‘chorizos’ to Algarvian capital
After a two-year break due to the coronavirus pandemic, Faro is once again hosting its Cheese, Wine and Chorizo Fair (‘Feira de Queijos, Vinhos e Enchidos’) at Jardim Manuel Bívar.
Taking place between April 13 and 17, the event will showcase a wide range of Algarve cheeses, wines, smoked sausages, bread and sweets, as well as famous products from other parts of the country such as cheeses from Nisa, Moura, Serra da Estrela, Serra da Gardunha, Borba and Aldeias de Montoito and a selection of some of Portugal’s best wines from the Alentejo, Bairrada, Beira Interior, Dão and Douro.
Organisers say there will be more products and more stalls this year, while wine lovers will be able to buy the event’s wine glass and taste the wines on offer.
The event will be held on all five days between 12 noon and 11pm. Admission is free.
